Temporary Registration

If you are unwell while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one, you can receive emergency treatment as a temporary patient. You can be seen as a temporary patient if you will be in the area for less than 3 months. If you will be here for more than 3 months you will need to register as a permanent patient.

As a temporary patient you will need to phone us first for an appointment and we will then advise you what ID we will need from you.  If you have a European Health Insurance Card please bring it along with you to the appointment.

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on our practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with our practice.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE TAKE PART IN A 3 WEEKLY TEMPORARY PATIENT ROTA WITH THE OTHER 2 GP PRACTICES BASED AT TOLLCROSS HEALTH CENTRE. THE OTHER 2 PRACTICES ARE GILMORE MEDICAL PRACTICE & LEVEN MEDICAL PRACTICE. IF YOU REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT FROM US WHEN IT IS NOT OUR WEEK ON THE ROTA, THEN WE WILL ADVISE YOU WHICH PRACTICE TO CONTACT.
